1928 – 2008

Shirlee Frank is a multi-talented artist. By age 80, she had created
an impressive body of work – specializing in hand-built ceramics,
watercolors and etchings. Frank’s imaginative whistles are made of
stoneware clay - high fired to 2,400 degrees -making them very durable.

She studied art at Ohio State University, the University of California
at Los Angeles art department as well as outstanding university
workshops and studios in Santa Monica. Frank’s work has been included
in several juried group shows in Los Angeles and she has won awards for her
etchings. Her work is also represented in numerous private collections
in California and Atlanta.

As a prolific and dedicated artist her entire life, Shirlee Frank’s
portfolio introduces an unknown talent, now being discovered.
